On Sept. 12, Upstart Films hosted our third annual 24-Hour Film Rush and it was a success. Five teams competed, 22 people showed up to registration, and about 55 people showed up to the screening Saturday night.
The event was covered in the Alligator and the Gainesville Sun. For an insider’s perspective, check out this detailed blog post by a member of the winning team: Man Beast, a film made in 24 hours. (I found the post while searching for the newspaper articles online) You can see their winning film here: Man Beast.
Thanks to all the people who came out and supported the filmmakers at the screening and to all the filmmakers who gave up 24 hours of their lives to make a short film.
